Cancellation Policy
We’re committed to giving you a safe, fun and stress-free day on the water. By booking with us, you agree to the following conditions of hire: 1. Licence & Age Requirements No boat licence is required to hire our vessels. The hirer must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid photo ID. Only those named on the booking agreement may operate the boat. 2. Safety Obligations All passengers must wear life jackets at all times while on board. The hirer is responsible for the safety and behaviour of all passengers. A full safety briefing will be provided prior to departure. Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. 3. Boundaries & Use Boats must remain within designated hire boundaries as outlined on our map and explained during your briefing. Entry into restricted or no-go areas (including National Park zones and shallow waters) is strictly prohibited. Boats may only be used during daylight hours and must return before the agreed time. 4. Weather Conditions In the event of unsafe weather, we may cancel or reschedule your booking. Full refunds or credit will be offered. If poor weather occurs during hire, you must return the boat immediately if instructed. 5. Alcohol & Drug Policy The operator must remain under the legal alcohol limit (0.05 BAC) at all times. No drugs or intoxicated persons are permitted on board. We reserve the right to cancel a hire without refund if safety is compromised due to alcohol or substance use. 6. Pets Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on board due to National Park restrictions and wildlife protection laws. 7. Fishing Fishing is permitted from the boat. A valid NSW Recreational Fishing Licence is required if you intend to fish. This is the responsibility of the hirer. 8. Damage, Cleaning & Late Returns The hirer is responsible for any loss, damage, or excessive cleaning required due to misuse or negligence. Boats must be returned in a clean, tidy state and at the agreed time. Late returns may incur additional charges. 9. Cancellations & Refunds Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours may forfeit the hire fee unless due to severe weather or at management discretion. 10. Indemnity Sussex Inlet Boat Hire and its operators are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage suffered during the hire period. The hirer indemnifies Sussex Inlet Boat Hire against all claims arising from the use or misus
